Is a bandeau top and a tie string bikini appropriate for a 13 year old?

If I had a 13 year old daughter, I would let her wear the top. But the string tie bottoms? No no. At 13, I had to wear those boy short looking bottoms. The ones that covered EVERYTHING. I know what type of world we live in today, and you don't want men 20 years older than you looking at your body in a way they shouldn't until you're an adult.
