1995 Ford mustang question about Obd Codes?

Hello! My car had a couple obd codes coming up but NO check engine light is on! I took it to the mechanic and he said the codes could be old! Could this be true and will my car p the smog test in california! Like I said my Check engine light is not on but I am getting Po155 and Po135 Thanks!
