How to deal with a "toxic" friend?

I've known this girl for about 8 years, so it's hard for me to just cut her out of my life as some people suggest because although she has a bad side to her I also know her for her good side, so I would not want to lose her as a friend. The problem is she is one of those people who is always acting like a victim and somehow attracts drama and misfortune into her life. I read that those people usually spread that type of bad luck to their friends, and I definitely don't need any of that drama in my life. Am I the only person in the world who can't understand why drinking is legal and pot isn't???? When I was younger I did both. I've seen alcohol cause people to do sooooo many stupid things....drive fast and dangerously, get into fights, cheat on their spouses, buy rounds for the house until they are completely broke. Smoking pot you mostly laugh, eat, smile....and if you do drive, it's usually really slow....because you don't have a care in the world, you're happy, and not in a hurry for anything. They have more cars and 2 boats in the yard. i was given the wrong information from clerk of the court. my agreement says a 30 day notice to vacate must be given.the clerk said file a 3 day, idid. then a 15 day idid.then complaint summons for other then non payment of rent idid. thay had 5 days to comply to the court in writing. they did. the judge dismissed it due to the 30 day notice was never given first. NOW WHAT?? THEY ARE LIARS, SCAMMERS THIS IS THERE 3RD HOUSE EVICTION. I need them out. Stalked by a police officer?

i had this cop pull me over. thats awesome! I'd love to have an animal spirit! We have a friendly ghost living in our house (this is where i grew up)-and he plays mild tricks and such but is definitly not out to harm anyone. They say having a positive spirit in teh house helps keep away negitive ones, so keep your "pet"! I have learned how ot deal with our ghost over time-if he is bothering me, i'll tell him and he usually stops (although maybe a dog ghost wont understand? Try a firm tone?) Nervous breakdown?

First off lets start with everything that has happend since the start of 2008 Jan 24 I had my son Sidney. Feb 1 I went back to work after having a c-section. My job laid me off yesterday. My gas is on disconnect and supposed to be disconnected tommrow I went to the trustees and got some help but they said it would be 3 days and they wont pay the reconnect fee of 58 dollars. I also cant use energy istance anymore because I used it month before last. My mother is living with me and not working. My step-son came to my house with scabies and I had no idea, then his mom wouldnt come get him for 4 days. My car broke down and needs a fuel pump which is between 200-800 dollars some have said I can get it off the internet for 80 dollars but I would still have to pay someone to install it. I dont have 3.00 dollars to my name in the bank so I am not able to catch the bus. My childs father got locked up today because someone stole his credit card and he beat the guy up. He also got called for a interview I already have food stamps and wic I filed unemployment when I was six months pregnant. And I got laid off because there wasnt enough revenue coming to the business. My brother was shot two weeks ago seven times. His girlfriend would not tell us where the funeral was going to be held just found out it was today i cant stop crying I wanted to see him one last time and for the horrible people on here that think I am lying because my internet is on well let me tell you my mother was paying for it now she has no job and hasnt since my son was born it will be getting shut off shortly. I really dont want pity either I just feel alone. I have no one me and my mother argue all the time and have since I was 12 she hasnt even hugged me in three years. You need to check yourself into a hospital that specializes in this specific stuff. A mental hospital would be the best bet because they have constant therapy sessions and trust me it does help. When I was 15, I was very depressed and was sent to the mental institution for a little bit. Not going to lie, there are some scary people in there but in the long run it does help! It'll make you such a stronger person I swear. You need to see your psychiatrist and talk to them about what you should do. You say you are not sad or depressed but you just want to die, I think that you have a wall up and you cannot see that in actuality, you are sad and depressed; no one just wants to die. I know women who have been d and felt the same way, but they have seeked treatment in mental hospitals and I know there are groups out there for women who have been d. Please don't try and hurt yourself, although you may feel like you have nothing to live for, just think about your family and friends and just know that you are loved by people out there.

Why won't an insurance company tell me the amount of a life insurance policy even though I'm the beneficiary?

So my brother ped away a couple weeks ago and left everything to me. He had 5 life insurance policies through prudential and I was the beneficiary on all 5. The day that I talked to the rep, he told me the amount of 4 of the 5 but said he could not tell me the amount of the other. They sent me the claim form which had all 5 policies listed on it, for me to sign. I sent it back and I received checks for the 4 they told me the first day, but still not the 5th. Anybody know why they won't tell me the amount or why I haven't received the last check yet?

Swelling is hard after ACL surgery?

so this tue. april 15th i had ACL surgery on my left knee. the doctor told me the surgery was a success and i should not put any pressure (walking) on it for a while. so thur. yesterday i accidently came up to quick from sitting down and i put alot of pressure on it to stand up. now today as i was putting on new bandages i noticed that the area where my knee and thigh meet is very swollen and really hard. not like muscle hard but in a weird way. its hard to explain but im just concerned if i should call my doctor or not or if im overreactng. so anybody with any similar or acl surgery expericence please tell me what the heck is wrong.

All in all I'd say this is a decent deck. but in my opinion/tastes its too diverse to run smoothly as you would hope. It does match what you said it was, but still i see that it runs pretty slowly. It's great for a casual match, don't get me wrong there. But in competitive play it wont last 4 rounds in a duel, unless your really lucky. i rate this as a 7/10 for casual and a 3/10 for competitive play, and a 1/10 for Shonen Jump/Tourny play. if you would like a great deck then email me and i can send you a decent list very similar to this, and you wont have to change much.

I was also on the iron pills and they really didnt do anything for me either so dont worry about that. The doctor will take care of that. If it gets bad the doctor will take action. I started to get extremely tired around 27 weeks and I found that all you can do is sleep and get rest. Sleep as much as you can...you will need the rest. I did not work so i pretty much slept all day and night, was on bed rest anyways so i kinda had to. But I know that you work but try to get a few more hours of sleep at night and you should be okay. Your body requires more sleep while carrying a little one;) The addomen muscles being pulled is just the pelvis and all of that area making room for the baby. Alot of other muscles will strecth and pull also...no worries just relax and get all the rest you can.

My friend had a fit last night, for the first time in his life i think it's so unusual, he had it in the toilets of a pub and went to hospital. He's not epileptic and we think his drink was spiked. While I am very happy with my XFX 5770 the Doc is right. It is now a mid range card. I do not game but did buy Crysis just to check out my rig. I can run at high settings and average about 29 frames per second with it. It seems to run OK and not lag to me but then since I do not game I am wondering if I would really know any better. And Cyrsis is an old game now if I am not mistaken. Sounds like the rest of the rig is up to par. Go for a better GPU. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Today at school was a very "different" day for me. It was about an hour before the final bell rung for us (the students) to go home. I decided to take a trip to the library to have some doents of mine photocopied. Since the librarian is the one incharge of the photocopy machine, I went to her. I politely greeted her a good-afternoon along with a warm smile. I'm quite the gentleman. I then asked, "Ma'am, can you photocopy these doents for me?" I had three seperate sheets. She replied, "A copy is for $1.00." I then asked, "By "copy", do you mean one sheet or all three." That did it. She went apesh!t on me. Screaming, swearing, making a general fool of herself. Shocked by her irrational, and uncivilised behaviour, I told her to calm down and photo copy my doents. She gave me a look of disgust then said, "What the hell are you going on about? Why you getting on?" If this was on the tele, I'd think of it as a joke, but it wasn't. Disgusted by her actions I said, "Ma'am, can you please lower your voice and conduct yourself in an orderly manner." After saying that, my mate and I walked out of the library. The librarian, feeling unsatisfied, screamed, "I'm not photocopying ANYTHING!". I told her that I didn't care and walked off. She came out of the library and argued with herself and sweared at me. I gave her no hid and walked off. when I had walked for about 100 meters, this teacher (who I later found out was her brother) called me and asked me to explain why I was being "disrespectful" to the librarian. I said that I wasn't being disrespectful. The librarian then added, "Ofcourse you were." She started jumping about flashing her hand in front of my face and ranting. I started feeling my temper rising so, I said, "Ma'am, can please allow me to have a civilised conversation with this teacher? You have shown me how uncivilised you are so I'd like to have a conversation with a civilised human being." She jumped up and started quarreling even more, raising her voice to it's limit. They found that there were some variances with individuals, but overall noise and heat were the most distracting factors lowering performance. You will have to prep for the test by ensuring when you go take the exam that you are rested, fed (but not overfed or too near exam time) and comfortable. Maybe a sleeveless shirt or a Tshirt under a shirt you can remove to make yourself slightly cooler - our experiment also showed that cold helped improve memory as we are more alert than when too warm. When studying at home and taking pre-exams, try to do so with other people in the room or a tv on low sound tuned to a talk or reality show. This will help you focus yourself away from any distractions. Don't let the people at home interrupt you, but by walking through the room, or coughing or fidgeting while sitting with you reading - they will be helping to create distractions that break your train of thought. If you don't have any one at home to help, try taking the exam in a quiet coffee shop or diner or library where there is other movements and noise that you can train yourself to ignore. Appendicitis or muscle?

I've had a slight discomfort about 2 or 3 inches below my belly on on my right side for quite a while now...I'm talking a year or more. It's never gotten any worse and it goes away usually after a day or two, but comes back sometimes after really moving around/stretching (playing tennis, running. etc). I can put pressure on it and not feel it, and I only really feel it when I flex my abdominal muscles. (It's actually right along the abdominal muscle line). No loss of appetite, no stomach sickness, no fever or anything. What do you think?

This is really weird I always somehow get stuck with 911 every day. Everytime I look at the clock it seems like it's 9:11. Quickest crossing over Mexico to CA?

What is the quickest way to cross back into California from Mexico? I drove around TJ trying to find the Otay Mesa crossing but never found it and then no one new how to get to the Tecata crossing (drove about 30 miles east on the 2 and got to a $7.50 toll road before turned around and went back to San Yisidro. San Yisidro seems like it always takes 3 hours to cross on the weekend, no matter what time of day you go (I have done 3 am, 11 am and 3 pm, and all have been longer than 3 hours to cross :(

Like you I like sitting by myself in a quiet place away from loud things so I can think. I often would just talk to Him about whatever. Like problems I have or the struggles I have, etc. I guess I tell Him everything. Though I know that I can always talk to Him whenever, sometimes I just like time away from people or things that distracts me and just be by myself. Sorry if this sounds confusing. Basically I guess I'm saying that yes I like going to quiet places so I can actually think and be myself and just talk (out loud) to Him about things. Everyone needs their alone time.

Mother Alienation - What do we do now?

It's been a little over three years since my husband and I have seen my step-son. We have gone through every court imaginable. We have go through the Department of Children Services and now our son is missing. Were were granted 50/50 and his birth mother showed up the first few visitations and then disappeared. We have gone back to the courts to try to file the necessary paperwork but no one can help us serve them because we do not know where she is. The police say to go to the courts. The courts say to go to the police. No one is willing to help us. We exhausted our life savings in all the inital court proceedings. We do not have the money to hire a new attorney. We dont know what to do. Please direct us! Are thier any lawyers out there that take pro-bono work on these types of cases? Any private detectives willing to work for a low fee or payments? I have fed my 100# dog the BARF diet. (bones and raw food) He loved it, but it is a bit more costly. I bought a pulp of bones and trimmings from the butcher and supplement it with 1 cup cooked wild rice, chopped raw vegis ~ whatever we were having for dinner, and plenty of fruit too. His favorites were watermelon, pears, carrots and mushrooms. I supplied a knuckle bone several times a week too. This kept his teeth in great condition. I still give him a RAW chicken leg every once in a while. The bones splinter when cooked but are safe when raw. I make the rice up once a week and keep it in the fridge. once a week cooking isn't bad. At holidays, I make Cheesy biscuits and peanut er bones. Extra treats when we are all getting treated.

Sounds like you have done a great job making what you need. If you want it to look nice, try replacing those light fixtures with flower pots with the screw in part inside the pot and the wiring through the drainage hole. You can attach them to a 1x4 and it could look very nice.
